DIG IT
Dig it was created in 1983 when Mike Goelz, a teenager, was daydreaming during English class at Greenway High School. He was deep into a higher intellectual doodle one day and magically Dig It was born. Although Dig It is all head with no body, he’s happy floating around in his own world, daydreaming and, of course, picking an occasional booger.
Dig It has a simple outlook on life, “If you can’t beat it, pick it and flick it!” Yes sirree he’s a happy go lucky booger pick’n, flick’n and grin’n happy face! The first of his kind! Can You Dig It?
MIKE GOELZ
Mike Goelz lives in Phoenix, Arizona where he devote his life to the creative element – this is due to the fact that all there is to look at here is dirt and cacti (cactus). If you’re lucky, an occasional rattlesnake or scorpion might pop out at ya to spruce up the landscape. Some have even been lucky enough to get stung by the infamous jumping Cholla Cactus.
Others have been chased by the famous roadrunner which is, in turn, chased by the equally famous Coyote. In Mike’s spare time he drives a Big Rig which gives him time away to daydream about important stuff like Dig It!
